Yes, it's comical that my friend finds TARC a 'LaLa in progress college'. Serious shit, I mean come on, just because the majority in TARC are chinese educated and speak in mandarin and cantonese all the time doesn't make them a LALA/ Ah Lian. Well, of course some of their dressing is a. lil. bit. off. Oh well, after all everyone is subject to their own opinions.
My chinese language and cantonese has definately improved A LOT. Which is a pretty damn good thing. Do you know how important it is? I don't like being called a BANANA in college. I AM NOT exactly! I was once in Chinese primary school for 3 years! Due to excessive failure in CHINESE subject, i was subjected to change to a National school. Which is a pretty damn good thing. From there onwards, my chinese slowly fade away. Because I no longer need to communicate in chinese. = ) .
Now in college it's like I have to learn all over again. Thank godness, i have a genius brain. I still recognise some of the characters. Yea, and most of my good friends in college don't speak english. If I speak to them in english, it would be like self suicide. So, = ) . But thank god i have a classmate whom speak english but I do admire him. He can read chinese character and speak good mandarin, cantonese and also english. Damn shit isn't it.
Its rather difficult not to be influence when it comes to certain things. After all, if it's not directly, its indirectly for sure. I do enjoy listening to chinese music and watching chinese drama. Though sometimes I can't seem to get what the lyrics trying to say. They're too fast. I had to google for the english translation. And for the drama, I catch no ball if they're speaking like bullet train.
Deepest regret that I can't read&write in chinese. = (. It's a shame for a chinese to not know her own mother tongue. So what you can speak good english. You're not a caucasian come on. And you're living in Malaysia. Ok. You're excused if you live in oversea lar. I'm talking about Malaysian. Even worst some 'modern malays' refuse to communicate in B.Malaysia and uses English instead. That's just plain awful lar.
I'm not whining or anything. Just expressing some piece of my mind. I'm indeed proud for having my 3 years of primary and 5 years of secondary spent in National School. I enjoy being surrounded by multi races friends. Such a joy to get to celebrate their celebration in school.
That's all. weee! so people you can stop saying I'm Lala-fied or china-ted or ah beng just because i simply enjoy listening to chinese music and watching chinese drama or even speak in mandarin. I'm far from being a LALA come to think of it.
